Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive in-house legal support across the MENA region. The role will cover a broad spectrum of legal matters, including real estate, property, construction, corporate, commercial, banking, employment, IP, project finance, technology, and litigation .

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on complex legal issues, balancing risk management with commercial solutions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including construction contracts, leases, musatahas, NDAs, MOUs, and financing agreements .
• Support on construction and property matters , with knowledge of FIDIC/JCT contracts a strong plus.
• Assist bid teams through to financial close and lead settlement negotiations where needed.
• Manage external counsel and ensure efficient use of legal spend.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Law degree with 8–12 years PQE , ideally from a combination of top-tier international law firms and in-house roles.
• Strong experience in property & construction law , plus at least two additional practice areas.
• Exposure to project finance structures is an advantage.
• Direct experience in the UAE/Middle East markets ; international common law background (UK/Europe/US) preferred.
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills in English (Arabic highly advantageous).
