About the Role
This role, reporting to the Group Legal Counsel, will drive the legal function, ensuring statutory compliance, managing disputes and contracts, and delivering strategic counsel.
Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, lease deeds, franchise agreements, service level agreements, NDAs, etc.

Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with business objectives and advise senior management on legal implications of business decisions.

Draft and vet strategic business agreements and ensure legal soundness.

Ensure the company’s adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Monitor and drive statutory compliances across multiple locations and Coordinate with government bodies.

Handle matters related to employment laws, disciplinary actions, employee disputes, and industrial relations.

Liaise with external legal counsel for court cases and manage end-to-end litigation process.

Drive corporate governance initiatives and ensure board resolutions are legally compliant.

Identify potential areas of legal risk and advise risk mitigation strategies.

Participate in internal audits and implement corrective action plans related to legal issues
Qualifications and skills required
-
LLB/LLM from a reputed university with 12+ years of legal experience preferably in construction, labor law and litigation

Strong understanding of Indian labor laws, industrial relations, export regulations

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multi-location legal issues with high accountability and minimal supervision.
