Senior Legal Counsel – Construction

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our client on a 6 month in-house secondment based in Abu Dhabi . This role will support large-scale residential and commercial projects across the Emirates and requires hands-on legal expertise on construction matters.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ PQE, qualified in a common law or recognised regional jurisdiction.

• Strong experience in front-end construction law, including drafting and negotiating FIDIC and bespoke construction contracts, consultancy agreements, procurement documentation, and tender packages.

• Solid understanding of UAE real estate development structures (SPA, development agreements, land sale/lease, off-plan).

• Experience working with DLD, RERA, Dubai Municipality and other UAE regulatory authorities.

• Ability to provide proactive, solutions-oriented advice to project, commercial and technical teams.

• Confident managing multiple concurrent development projects with autonomy.

• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.

• Prior in-house experience in real estate development, construction, or infrastructure organisations is preferred.
