Role
: Senior Legal Counsel / Corporate Counsel (Global Procurement Contracts)
Responsibilities
:

Assist in protecting the Company’s legal interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law;

Review of commercial agreements like Vendor Service Agreements, SAAS and Software License Agreements, Consulting or Professional Services, Recruitment, Marketing & Sponsorship Agreements, and other agreements relevant to the business of an Information Technology service provider, including the management and approval of drafting & reviews of such agreements by junior counsels;

Management of junior counsels in reviewing agreements;

Participating in negotiations with vendors and customers and ensuring conformance with internal contracting requirements and risk mitigation requirements;

Analyzing legal issues and commercial risks, and presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance;

Undertaking legal advisory functions in relation to general corporate compliance;

Providing legal advice to all levels of executive staff and managing junior counsels

:

Strong transactional drafting and communication skills;
-
Domain expertise in contracting related to the information technology business and the various industry verticals related thereto;

Prior experience in independently handling high value transactions;

Good management skills, with prior experience in managing and mentoring a team of at least two professionals;

Must be able to demonstrate/show examples of solutions provided to complex commercial and legal issues;

Prior experience in providing legal advice to influence decisions at senior management levels

Deep knowledge of commercial contracting, other principles underlying the law of contracts across geographies, global standards, and best practices.

Strong understanding of corporate legal requirements including but not limited to Information security, compliance of IP, Data privacy, and others;

Experience Required:
Lawyer with minimum 8 years’ experience, with a law degree from a reputed law school and relevant experience in the IT industry.
Qualification:
BA (LLB) or Masters in Law from a Bar Council of India recognized institute
