Job Description Summary
We are seeking a senior-level product engineer to support IC development and product sustaining within our Automotive Business Unit. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the health and quality of Battery Management Systems (BMS) products from development through high-volume manufacturing phases while interfacing closely with nearly every functional group including design, test, applications, business management, quality, failure analysis, reliability, foundry, packaging, and offshore manufacturing. Success in this position will be strongly dependent on the candidate’s ability to drive interdisciplinary efforts involving these groups to determine root cause, containment, and corrective actions for outstanding product issues.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
  • ATE and bench segmentation of internal product issues
  • Bench analysis and fault isolation of customer quality returns
  • Performance and datasheet specification via process/voltage/temperature characterization
  • Product yield and cost optimizations for high-volume production readiness
  • Product and package reliability issue assessment, AECQ100 knowledge a plus
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors (or Masters) in electrical engineering, materials science, or applied physics
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, preferred knowledge of automotive standards
  • General knowledge of mixed signal circuits with exposure to basic device physics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in statistical data analyses
  • Strongly effective interpersonal skills within interdisciplinary team structure
  • Familiarity with yield management and general manufacturing flows
  • Basic bench evaluation competencies (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, supplies, etc)
  • Strong data management, scheduling and presentation skills using MS Office Suite
  • Experience with product and package qualification requirements / activities

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $118,988 to $178,481.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
