Job Description:
The Senior Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests in pool and/or beach areas while supervising and supporting the lifeguard team. This role includes overseeing daily operations, enforcing safety standards, and responding to emergencies, while maintaining excellent guest service in a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of lifeguards on duty.
- Monitor pool and/or beach areas to ensure the highest level of safety at all times.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations consistently and professionally.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing rescue, first aid, and CPR as required.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Ensure all lifesaving equipment is available, functional, and properly maintained.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to lifeguards.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and daily operations.
- Liaise with management and coordinate with security and other departments when needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of poolside/beach areas.
- Support emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent observation and quick decision-making abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and take charge in emergency situations.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions.
