Senior Logistics & Foreign Purchasing Engineer

YAMA Engineering Systems, a leading company in firefighting systems and a distributor of high-quality American products, is looking for a skilled Senior Logistics & Foreign Purchasing Engineer to support our expanding operations.

We are seeking an engineering professional with strong technical knowledge and solid experience in international procurement and logistics, capable of handling overseas purchasing while ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage foreign purchasing activities and coordinate with international suppliers.
• Handle logistics processes including shipping, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
• Review and handle shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Source freight forwarders and customs brokers to secure competitive rates and reliable service.
• Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers to achieve the best price and quality.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure all materials meet project specifications.
• Build strong relationships with global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Support procurement planning to ensure material availability aligned with project timelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a must.
• 5–7 years of experience in logistics and foreign purchasing within an engineering, MEP, or firefighting environment.
• Strong technical understanding of engineering materials and equipment.
• Proven experience with international suppliers, import procedures, and shipping regulations.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
