Company Overview

Intech Services stands as a strategic partner to multiple U.S.-based chemical companies, operating at the intersection of supply chain efficiency, technical expertise, and global sourcing.

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader who can take full ownership of the supply chain, drive cost efficiency, and operate both strategically and operationally.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end supply chain management including ocean freight planning, carrier selection, booking, and transit optimization. The candidate must actively monitor port conditions, congestion risks, and container availability to avoid delays and extra costs such as demurrage and detention.

Strong control over drayage and local fleet operations. This includes managing trucking vendors, optimizing first-mile and last-mile movement, ensuring equipment availability, and reducing idle time to improve turnaround efficiency.

Warehouse oversight covering layout optimization, inventory flow, inbound/outbound coordination, and alignment with transportation schedules to ensure faster throughput and reduced handling costs.

Extensive experience with LTL and FTL through 3PL networks. The candidate should be capable of lane-level cost analysis, shipment consolidation, and selecting the most cost-effective transportation modes without compromising service levels.

Vendor management and negotiation are critical. The role requires leading negotiations with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and 3PL providers to secure competitive rates, lock contracts, benchmark market pricing, and continuously drive cost reductions.

Proactive control over demurrage and detention. The candidate must track free days, ensure timely container movement, coordinate across teams, and challenge unjustified charges when necessary.

Strong business communication skills in English are essential. The role involves working with international vendors, resolving operational issues, aligning cross-functional teams, and reporting insights to leadership.

Performance monitoring and continuous improvement are key expectations. The candidate should track KPIs such as freight cost per unit, transit time, on-time delivery, detention costs, and vendor performance, and implement data-driven cost-saving initiatives.
