About this role:


Strategic Logistics Planning:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization’s business objectives and ensure an efficient supply chain.


Inbound & Outbound Operations Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of transportation, warehousing, and distribution to guarantee timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of goods and services .


Inventory & Warehouse Control:

  • Maintain accurate stock levels, implement effective inventory management systems, and ensure proper storage practices in line with company and regulatory requirements.


Supplier & Contract Management:

  • Source, negotiate, and manage service agreements with logistics vendors, carriers, and freight forwarders, ensuring performance and compliance with agreed terms .


Customs & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all shipments comply with UAE and international trade regulations, customs clearance requirements, and documentation standards.


Cost Optimization & Financial Accountability:

  • Monitor, analyze, and control logistics expenditures; recommend cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.


Risk Management & Issue Resolution:

  • Identify potential risks in logistics operations, proactively address challenges, and resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies effectively .


Performance Measurement & Reporting:

  • Establish KPIs for logistics functions, track performance against benchmarks, and provide timely reports and insights to management.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with procurement, finance, projects, and operations teams to align logistics activities with overall organizational goals.


Health, Safety & Sustainability:

  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company standards, promoting safe handling of goods and sustainable logistics practices.


Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Drive process improvements and leverage technology (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.


  • Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities:
  • In addition to all job-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Basatin health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. All employees are personally responsible to familiarize themselves with these policies, procedures, practices, updates, etc. Khidmah HSE department regularly updates existing and introduce new policies, procedures, and practices and each employee is personally responsible to ensure they stay updated and compliant with all such updates and new additions.


  • Information Security responsibilities:
  • Comply with Basatin Information Security Policies
  • Be aware of and fulfil their information security responsibilities
  • Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information have taken the Security Awareness Training
  • Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
  • Not Disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus
  • Restrict use to authorized purposes, Protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.
  • Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline (required).
  • Professional certifications such as CILT, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), SCPro, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP and logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS) and strong MS Office skills preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or distribution within relevant industries (e.g., facilities management, construction, manufacturing, or retail).
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a logistics officer/coordinator role with direct responsibility for transportation, inventory, vendor management, and import/export compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management best practices.
  • Skilled in ERP and logistics platforms (SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS) with strong MS Office abilities.
  • Solid understanding of UAE/international customs, trade compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement cost-effective, practical solutions.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and able to perform in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Committed to HSE standards, risk management, and continuous improvement.
