ENEC Operations - Barakah Nuclear Power Plant

Job Purpose

Oversee and coordinate maintenance support services contractors carrying out welding, rigging, lifting, scaffolding, leak seal, Non Destructive Examination (NDE), pressure vessel, Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) and civil maintenance and improvement activities for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) in accordance with regulatory requirements, operating policies, nuclear safety standards, industrial safety, environmental protection and nuclear standards for safety, industrial safety and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities in rigging & lifting, welding, non destructive testing and pressure vessel maintenance and testing, including oversight of maintenance support services contractors.
• Provide support in reviewing the program scope and DOR with program owner and technical review for bidder SWO to meet requirements for maintenance and engineering program owners and the Engineering ISI Program.
• Assign qualified individuals to perform specialized functions and ensure regulatory program requirements are addressed to increase the probability of successful support work completion.
• Report deviations from engineering programs to the Engineering Department in a timely manner to enable quick and effective corrective actions.
• Oversee the conduct of inspections, repairs, maintenance, modifications, and rebuilds of plant equipment and associated structures as directed by Section Head.
• Follow industrial safety, nuclear safety, radiation safety, human performance and regulatory compliance requirements to promote a safety conscious environment.
• Analyze equipment deficiency, human performance and industrial safety events to establish corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
• Endorse training, industry benchmarking, and World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
• Verify compliance of supplemental workers with work standards and industry codes (rigging, scaffolding, welding and painting) to ensure a safe and qualified maintenance support workforce.
• Coordinate daily support activities with main work owners and address technical concerns that may impact execution of the work activity.
• Oversee, supervise and facilitate multidisciplinary teamwork to facilitate quality, productive and timely completion of work activities.
• Provide input in designating priorities for work activities and develop a resource loaded implementation schedule to accomplish required maintenance.
• Implement maintenance programs and procedures to provide a high level of plant reliability.
• Verify that work is planned and executed with radiological exposure as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) to provide a safe working environment.
• Facilitate mobilization of maintenance contract resources to ensure alignment of maintenance support activities.
• Support management of maintenance contract implementation to align contractual obligations with maintenance support requirements.
• Support maintenance contract performance reviews to ensure contractor performance meets maintenance requirements.
• Support senior management on technical issues that affect maintenance contractors' performance to ensure maintenance support requirements are met.
• Support plant in execution of CAP and FME programs to enhance reliability and safety in the plant.

Outage and Emergency Response Organization Support

• Support outage and/or emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; shift work/off hours support may be required.

Professional Certifications

• Preferred: Technical certificates in related job area.

Qualifications Minimum

• High School Certification.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
