Senior Maintenance Technician – Al Safi Danone (ASD)

Location: Al Kharj

Department: Manufacturing – Maintenance

Role Summary

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of facility systems and manufacturing equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing faulty components. The role contributes to achieving maintenance operational standards, supporting productivity, maintaining safety compliance, and supervising assigned technicians. The technician also ensures adherence to GMP, food safety, and safety procedures while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Key Accountabilities

Daily Operations

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.

• Support maintenance operational goals by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews.

• Monitor maintenance expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty components.

Safety, Quality & Environment

• Report near-miss and safety risks on time through safety tags.

• Ensure LOTO application during troubleshooting and all routine and non-routine activities.

• Maintain GMP, personal hygiene, housekeeping, equipment cleaning, floor cleaning, zoning, and 5S daily.

• Adhere to all food safety system standards.

• Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in operational excellence initiatives by submitting improvement ideas to support productivity, engagement, environment, growth, and quality.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Implement approved departmental policies and procedures to ensure controlled execution of tasks.

• Follow SOPs to ensure work is completed safely and with high quality as per standards.

Reporting

• Ensure all departmental reports are completed accurately and on time, meeting company requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in dairy process operations .
• Experience working on dairy process equipment including pasteurizers, homogenizers, UHT systems, CIP and SIP, milk silos, mixing and blending units, separators, and heat exchangers with the ability to disassemble and assemble exchanger plates.
• Strong Mechanical skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and restoring process equipment.
• Good understanding of GMP, food safety, hygiene, zoning, 5S, and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to read technical manuals, P&IDs, and follow SOPs.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide technicians and coordinate with cross functional teams.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
