Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Adventure Operations is a multi-site leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, development, and execution of all adventure and outdoor programs across The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations.
This role provides overall leadership for inland and adventure-based experiences, ensuring the delivery of world-class, safe, and immersive guest offerings aligned with luxury hospitality standards and regenerative tourism principles.
The Senior Manager is accountable for operational excellence, program innovation, commercial performance, and stakeholder alignment, while driving the growth and diversification of adventure assets across the destination portfolio. The role also plays a key part in shaping organizational capability through leadership, training frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Direction

Define and implement the strategic vision for adventure operations across all assigned destinations.

Lead the development and expansion of a diverse portfolio of inland and outdoor adventure experiences.

Align all adventure programs with overall business objectives, brand positioning, and guest experience standards.

Drive innovation and continuous enhancement of adventure offerings to maintain a competitive, world-class product.
2. Operational Oversight

Oversee end-to-end operations across multiple adventure assets, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality experiences.

Establish and enforce operational standards, SOPs, and governance frameworks across all locations.

Monitor performance metrics, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction across the portfolio.

Act as the escalation point for complex operational challenges, risks, and incidents.
3. Program Development & Commercial Growth

Lead the design, development, and commercialization of new adventure programs and experiences.

Identify opportunities for revenue growth, product diversification, and market expansion.

Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to position adventure offerings effectively.

Ensure all programs deliver both experiential excellence and commercial value.
4. Team Leadership & Capability Building

Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of managers, supervisors, instructors, and guides.

Establish training frameworks, competency standards, and career progression pathways.

Drive a high-performance culture focused on safety, service excellence, and accountability.

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development strategies for adventure operations.
5. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and risk management across all adventure activities.

Oversee the implementation of international adventure standards, local regulations, and company policies.

Lead risk assessments, emergency preparedness planning, and safety audits.

Promote environmental sustainability and responsible tourism practices aligned with regenerative tourism goals.
6. Asset & Infrastructure Management

Oversee the operational readiness, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all adventure assets and equipment.

Ensure all facilities and locations are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and presentation.

Support capital planning and investment decisions related to adventure infrastructure.
7. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Asset Management, Delivery, and Marketing teams.

Engage with external entities such as government bodies, sport federations, and regulatory authorities.

Ensure alignment with local communities and support collaborative initiatives across the destination.
8. Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Establish governance frameworks and reporting structures to ensure operational transparency and accountability.

Provide regular performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with international best practices, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Sports Management, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

Minimum 8–12 years of experience in adventure tourism, outdoor recreation, or resort operations.

Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-site operations within a luxury or high-end environment.

Extensive experience in program development, operational management, and team leadership.
-
Strong understanding of health, safety, and risk management in adventure sports environments.
-
Experience within the Middle East or similar markets is advantageous.
-
Valid Wilderness First Aid or First Aid certification (including CPR) from a recognized provider.
