Your role

Deliver novel, scientifically substantiated fragrance technologies that create consumer-perceivable differentiation. Strengthen Symrise's technical leadership through patents, publications and successful product launches. Serve as a trusted partner to perfumery, evaluation, marketing and commercial teams by bridging science with business needs.

Translate scientific findings and innovations into practical solutions for product applications in personal care, home care and fine fragrance. Identify and evaluate new technologies, raw materials, solvent and delivery systems to improve fragrance delivery and performance.

Design and execute experiments aimed at validating fragrance performance in order to meet customer brief timelines and expectations. Lead applied research programs focused on fragrance performance, stability, malodor counteraction, long-lastingness and delivery systems.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
• 8-12+ years experience in fragrance or consumer products. Strong understanding of fragrance chemistry, formulation interactions, sensory science, and/or delivery systems.
• Proven track record of leading applied research programs through to commercial implementation. Experience with analytical techniques and sensory/consumer testing.
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The expected annual salary range for this position is USD 150000.00 – USD 180000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
