Job Summary:
To focus on developing the business of Contract Logistics within the assigned industry verticals – E-Commerce & Retail and establish the company as leader in the E-Commerce & Retail vertical.
This includes the development of new customers/geographies and sales activities across existing customers in alignment with vertical team as well as respective country Sales Teams.
Being part of a management team, the manager will be responsible for meeting and exceeding all budgeted sales goals as well as capacity expansion ambitions within the Region for the assigned verticals.
Another key task is to commercially manage the existing book of business with regional accounts and ensure all renewals are successful and a solution (engineering & pricing) is provided to all customers (existing / new).
Key Responsibilities:

Develop & Implement CL solutions for the assigned industry verticals across the Region

Formulate required operational capabilities for the respective country / site across the region considering the industry and customer requirements

Accountable for leading an engaged team across CL Engineers and CL Pricer providing direction and promoting collaboration in pursuit of Contract Logistics opportunities and capacity expansion

Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for the respective industry vertical for new opportunities and expanding business

Generate effective leads and opportunities in alignment with vertical specialist and respective country sales

Identifies and develops relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an customer

Maintain understanding of customers’ expectations relative to operational solutions, costs and results

Understands the customer's business (strategically, operationally, financially)

Understands the customer's buying process and identify all influences, intimately understanding their requirements

Maintains an up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying number of opportunities, value of the opportunity and managing the probability to win

Coordinate RFQs for new business opportunities and renewals of existing business with assigned teams engaging other functions as required and own the commercial relationship and contract negotiations with customer

Post RFQ Analysis: Conduct post RFQ analysis to identify areas for improvement and capture lessons learned for future Tenders

Follow the internal commercial process, procedures and thresholds

Project management, solution design and implementation project including contract negotiation, and operational implementation of contract logistics business actively sources and manages suitable vendors for all required warehouses, equipment & services to ensure final solution is delivered within budget and agreed timeline

Support in Planning and leading the implementation of strategic warehouse locations.

Work as a pivot resource in between Sales and Solutions design to ensure technical, financial, and commercial aspects are properly considered in all proposals.

Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across the organization

Foster a close cooperation between Account Management, Operations, Operational Excellence and all other functions (IT, HR, Finance, etc.)

Partners with colleagues in other regions on broader opportunities for select customers

Monitor industry trends and merging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities and risks for the vertical and the organization

Representing the company at industry events, conferences and trade shows, building relationships and promoting the company’s brand and capabilities

Visiting potential new warehouse facilities across the region, creating a site visit report and preparing a business case

Creating a weekly status report for all activities

Understand the market for the respective verticals – availability of warehousing capacity, competitor analysis keeping an overview of available warehouses, market demands and market rates across the region

Ensure all activities comply with company policies, legal regulations and ethical standards

Willingness to travel across the region
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Qualification
-
bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Work experience -
-
15+ years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry, with at least 5 years of experience in the relevant vertical
-
Experience within GCC
-
Experience in Contract Logistics & Solution Design

Strong communication & presentation skills
