We are seeking a Senior Manager of Data to lead a team of data engineers and AI/ML engineers in building and scaling our data infrastructure and advanced AI capabilities, preferably a hand on technical manager. This role will partner closely with data architects, product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure data is leveraged as a strategic asset across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team across data engineering and AI/ML engineering disciplines.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Data Infrastructure & Architecture

  • Collaborate with data and AI architects to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable data platforms.
  • Ensure data pipelines, storage, and processing systems meet performance and compliance standards.

AI/ML Enablement

  • Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI-Agents that support business objectives.
  • Ensure best practices in MLOps, model governance, and monitoring.

Business Partnership

  • Work with product, marketing, and operations teams to identify opportunities where data and AI can drive measurable impact.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure timely delivery.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Implement processes for data quality, lineage, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience:

8+ years in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence background, or AI/ML roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with C# or Java is a plus.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse, streaming).
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration like (Airflow, dbt), data warehouses like (Snowflake, Redshift), and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Knowledge of MLOps tools and practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise technology environments.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau) and data visualization best practices.
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
