Job Overview:
The Senior Manager, HCP Field Marketing plays a critical, strategic role in driving adoption of Sequel’s twiist AID system by empowering our field-facing teams—Territory Business Leaders, Clinical Diabetes Specialists, Area Business Leaders, and National Account Directors—with best-in-class marketing tools, messaging, and resources that fuel effective conversations and increase HCP engagement.
This role is ideal for a highly collaborative, independent leader with broad commercial experience (e.g., sales, marketing, product) who can not only develop and deliver impactful materials but also drive alignment and consensus across functions. The ideal candidate is proactive in collecting field insights, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and measuring impact to ensure Sequel’s field resources are continuously optimized for effectiveness. This person should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and will serve as a key partner to Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape Sequel’s HCP engagement strategy during a high-growth phase of our launch. Diabetes therapeutic area experience is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Develop Field Marketing Materials: Lead the planning and development of high-quality sales tools, collateral, presentations, objection handlers, and other materials to support Sequel’s field sales teams across the customer journey. Requires both strategic planning of, and tactical hands-on creation, of said materials.
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Product Management, Regulatory, and Marketing leadership to ensure alignment, buy-in, and feedback on all field initiatives.
Ensure Compliance: Manage the MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) review process to gain approval for all field marketing materials; ensure strict adherence to FDA regulations, industry standards, and Sequel policies.
Field Team Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to sales leadership and field teams by proactively soliciting insights, validating needs, and translating feedback into marketing strategies that drive adoption and performance.
Content Customization: Adapt marketing materials to address regional and customer-specific nuances while maintaining brand consistency.
Sales Enablement: Build marketing toolkits, launch packs, and digital resources to empower field teams with easy access to effective, compliant selling tools.
Insight-Driven Iteration: Monitor usage and effectiveness of materials, analyze performance data, and continuously refine resources based on field input, outcomes, and analytics.
KOL Program Support: Work with Med Affairs to develop the KOL program, including Speakers Bureau.
Training and Rollout: Collaborate with Sales Training and Marketing teams to deliver onboarding, training, and ongoing education to the field on new marketing resources and tools.
Customer Insights: Gather feedback from the field about customer needs, messaging effectiveness, and unmet challenges to inform future marketing strategy and content development.
Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on the usage and effectiveness of field marketing materials; recommend enhancements based on data and feedback.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product Management, Digital Marketing, Clinical Education, and Customer Care to ensure a cohesive and unified customer experience across touchpoints.
Minimum Requirements (Education and Experience):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in field marketing, sales enablement, marketing communications, or product marketing, preferably within a medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare technology company.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated success in owning cross-functional projects or programs with proven ability to gain alignment, influence without authority, and drive consensus.
Strong understanding of FDA regulations, advertising and promotion standards, and experience navigating MLR approval processes.
Proven ability to develop compelling, compliant marketing materials for field sales teams.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills; able to work effectively across multiple functions and levels.
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and content management tools is a plus.
Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ability to travel up to 20% for team meetings, sales meetings, and field rides.
Experience working across multiple commercial functions (sales, marketing, product, training, etc.) or having been promoted through progressively responsible roles is preferred.
Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:
Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions
Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments
May work extended hours during peak business cycles
Physical requirements such as lifting specific weights
Some travelling is expected
Quality Requirements
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function). Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function). Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
