The purpose of the job is to sustain and drive harmonious industrial relations in the factories through effective collective bargaining, resolution of disputes / grievances and adherence to labor laws and statutory compliances. The job is responsible to ensure adequacy of resources, provide supportive work climate to all employees so as to drive higher performance across factories.
Job Duties & Key Responsibilities
* Duties and Responsibilities - 1. Maintain harmonious industrial relations in the factories by monitoring effective implementation of organizational policies / practices and wage settlements. 2. Drive and participate in collective bargaining processes towards jointly discussing and establishing wages, terms and conditions of employment of unionized workforce in the factories 3. Focus towards creating and driving HR processes focused at driving high performance, adherence to quality, productivity and development of workforce 4. Ensure adequacy of resources in factories through ensuring recruitment & timely filling of vacancies across factories. 5. Conduct Formal HR meetings at every location every month to address employee grievances & queries and ensure timely resolution. 6. Oversee disciplinary proceedings by providing guidance to respective ER managers in the respective factories. 7. Ensure smooth work in progress at New Project site by liasioning with maintaining cordial relationship with all external stakeholders including government authorities, local societies etc. 8. Recommend and implement cost reduction initiatives in the HR & Administrative areas. 9. Oversee and monitor labor contractors and ensure effective implementation of CLRA 10. Drive systems and processes across factories towards complete compliance towards Labor Laws and conduct internal checks towards ensuring the same 11. Conduct internal audits to find potential gaps in the compliance towards labor laws and ensure necessary corrective / preventive actions across factories. 12. Conduct wage surveys in geographic clusters of respective factories to have a market understanding of wage movements, pay structures and prevalent practices 13. Track the status of HR metrics for the factories w.r.t status of recruitment, deployment, absenteeism etc. and share the status with department heads on a monthly basis
