Our organization is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Identity & Access Management (IAM) Global Operations leader to transform and scale enterprise IAM operations across a complex global environment.
This role will be responsible for evolving IAM operations from a reactive, manual support model into a modern, automated, metrics-driven operating model that improves security, reliability, compliance, and employee experience.
Reporting to the Head of IAM Operations, this leader will oversee the global IAM operational ecosystem, build high-performing teams, drive automation initiatives, and partner across cybersecurity, engineering, infrastructure, and business functions to deliver secure and scalable identity services.
The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of IAM expertise, operational leadership, automation mindset, and experience driving transformation within large, highly regulated environments.
- Define and execute a global IAM operations strategy aligned with enterprise security objectives and Zero Trust principles.
- Lead the transformation of IAM operations from manual, reactive processes to automated, scalable, and proactive service delivery.
- Establish operational frameworks, including KPIs, SLAs, service health metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent IAM operations in executive, governance, risk, and security forums.
- Drive automation across identity lifecycle management processes, including:
- User provisioning and deprovisioning
- Access requests and approvals
- Access certifications
- Privileged and non-privileged access management
- Exception management
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational complexity, eliminate manual processes, and improve service delivery.
- Partner with IAM engineering teams to ensure solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, monitoring, and operational support.
- Promote modern operating practices including automation, DevOps/SRE principles, and service management best practices.
- Lead and develop globally distributed IAM operations teams.
- Establish accountability, ownership, and operational discipline across teams.
- Oversee incident, problem, change, and service management processes supporting critical IAM platforms.
- Drive root cause analysis and long-term remediation for operational issues.
- Balance global consistency with regional regulatory and business requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, application, and business teams to integrate IAM capabilities across the enterprise.
- Partner with audit, compliance, and risk teams to ensure IAM services meet regulatory and control expectations.
- Serve as the connection point between IAM strategy, engineering, and operations to ensure successful execution.
- 8+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, cybersecurity, technology operations, or related enterprise technology disciplines.
- 4+ years of experience leading teams, programs, or operational functions.
- Proven experience managing IAM services at enterprise scale.
- Experience with identity lifecycle management, access governance, authentication platforms, and access operations.
- Demonstrated success leading operational transformation initiatives.
- Experience building and leading global or distributed teams.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within financial services, healthcare, insurance, technology, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with IAM platforms such as:
- SailPoint
- Saviynt
- CyberArk
- Okta
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Familiarity with:
- Zero Trust security models
- DevOps/SRE principles
- API-driven automation
- Infrastructure as Code concepts
- IT service management practices
- Lead the evolution of a global IAM operating model at enterprise scale.
- Build and develop a high-performing IAM operations organization.
- Influence security strategy, operational maturity, and employee experience.
