PURPOSE


Step into a career-defining opportunity at the heart of the Emerging Markets in Dubai. We are looking for an experienced Inbound Logistics professional to establish and lead the horizontal Inbound Logistics function within our Supply Chain Development team.

This role is pivotal to shaping the future of logistics across Emerging Markets, a region of rapid growth, high complexity, and endless possibilities: 127 countries managed from 23 subsidiaries. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, optimizing efficiency, and creating scalable logistics solutions that fuel adidas’ growth story.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


GOVERNANCE


  • Drive the Inbound transportation lead-time seasonal update to ensure system calculations remain accurate, reliable, and future-ready.
  • Align the criteria to determine product arrival dates from factories with the real-time operational landscape across Emerging Markets.
  • Monitor Inbound Logistics performance and lead the Inbound Monthly Business reviews through advanced reporting and root cause analysis to ensure excellence across the region.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE


  • Identify and implement Inbound process improvements, driving both efficiency gains and cost optimization, such as optimized new routes or ship modes.
  • Partner with Global Logistics to develop and deploy best practices and innovative tools to support local operations.
  • Support Global Logistics and regional operations teams in the tendering process to find and on-board new service providers.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT


  • Design and execute the roadmap for Inbound projects across Emerging Markets, providing full PMO support where required, including the roll-out of planning tools and best practices, aiming for higher standards of harmonization and automation.
  • Lead the expansion of Direct Shipments, enabling faster and more efficient deliveries across the diverse geographies in the region.
  • Optimize packaging at source initiatives to boost productivity and speed across the entire supply chain.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Strong expertise across multiple stages of the Supply Chain, with proven specialization in International Global Logistics.
  • Prior experience with Freight Forwarders, including tenders; and the setup and operations of CFS/CY are considered valuable.
  • Solid understanding of Incoterms and experience with international customs are considered a plus.
  • Strong IT affinity: proficiency in MS Office and Teams; experience with SAP and Power BI is a valuable advantage.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to analyze complex issues, manage risks, and make sound, timely decisions.
  • Skilled communicator and influencer with excellent analytical, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Resilient under pressure, able to perform in fast-paced environments while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Action-oriented, solution-driven, and self-motivated team player who thrives in collaborative and multicultural settings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, with a strong background in International Inbound Logistics.
  • At least 2 years of proven Project Management experience and Leadership roles.
  • Experience working in multi-national, diverse environments, ideally in fast-moving, high-growth industries.
