The Team


Our team is focused on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. Our highly respected Infrastructure and Capital Projects (Infra) team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients with the expertise of our deep project, Alvarez & Marsal's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions.


Our Infra Advisory Team operates throughout the entire development life cycle:


  • Capital Strategy and Deal Advisory (Financial, Technical and Regulatory Vision)
  • Capital Delivery and Project Rescue (Execution Phase)
  • Asset Optimization (Operational and Technical Improvement)


Our initial key focus in terms of service offering will cover:


  • Development Management
  • Strategic PMO & Client Representative
  • Cost Advisory
  • Claims and Disputes


How you will contribute


We are seeking innovative, entrepreneurial Senior Managers level in our key hubs, KSA (Riyadh) and UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai), to drive wider regional growth. Working with some of the brightest and most experienced colleagues in the industry, you will develop and implement innovative solutions in the context of performance improvement, digitization, delivery transformation, and operational turnaround.


You will be working as part of a wider global practice focused on deploying digital, risk allocation, delivery support as well as cost-efficiency solutions while simultaneously integrating governance throughout the infrastructure projects lifecycle.


The responsibilities include:


  • Support the deployment of capital projects offerings, maximize efficiency and proactively find solutions to increase productivity
  • Advise clients on resolving issues and applying global best practices throughout project lifecycles.
  • Build strategic networks and partnerships to secure new contracts and strengthen client relationships.
  • Support the team to identify high-impact opportunities across capital projects, from quick wins to major transformations.
  • Support senior leadership with client pitches and business development.
  • Contribute to firm building initiatives including recruiting, learning, culture, marketing, and finance


Qualifications


  • a high-grade bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or construction discipline (or equivalent/higher) from a top-tier university. MBA would be desirable.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in business development and/or infrastructure project management with deep expertise in the delivery of major complex capital projects. (mandatory).
  • 5+ years of experience in top tier consulting firms, with strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset. (mandatory).
  • Proven Middle East experience and established client base in region. (mandatory)
  • Professional accreditation a MRICS, FRICS, PMI, PMP, MAPM, CIOB etc.)
  • Arabic language skills preferred but not essential
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in giga/mega projects across sectors such as real estate, hospitality, entertainment, infrastructure, transportation, sports, and aviation.
  • Familiarity with the full construction lifecycle, including feasibility studies, technical due diligence, procurement, PPP, development management, PMO, cost advisory, and dispute resolution.
  • Willingness to travel and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Motivated and effective in a fast-paced and dynamic culture.
