The Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager Architecture and Design on the Product Development Team in the Private Destinations group reporting to the Senior Director Design and Architecture
This position will work onsite in Miami Florida
Position Summary:
As a Senior Manager within the Product Development team for Private Destinations you will lead and oversee complex interior design projects from initial concept development through final execution You will ensure that all initiatives are delivered on schedule within budget and to the highest standards of quality and brand alignment This role requires strong leadership in guiding cross‑functional teams managing external design and FF&E consultants and shaping strategic direction for major design efforts
You will coordinate the full scope of interior design project activities develop strategic plans and act as the primary liaison between ownership and third‑party design partners Responsibilities include defining project scope managing budgets and schedules mentoring junior team members and providing oversight for large‑scale high‑visibility design initiatives You will ensure effective administrative design and technical execution across all assigned projects maintaining efficiency and cost‑effectiveness while upholding the integrity of the brand’s design vision
Additional duties include managing project communications and documentation supporting departmental operational needs and overseeing team assignments You will develop fee estimates determine scope and prepare proposals and contracts for major interior design projects In the absence of the Director of Design you may serve in a team‑lead capacity to ensure continuity of leadership
This role is best suited for a collaborative proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional interior design solutions that elevate the overall guest experience and reflect the brand’s identity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or related field
Minimum of 12+ years of related design experience hospitality Retail / Dining / Entertainment (RDE) theme park projectsDesign and Technical Excellence:
Ability to oversee the design of large developments in hospitalityCommunications:
Demonstrate success in collaborating with architects contractorsLeadership:
