Senior Manager IT Infrastructure & DevOps

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT professional with a blend of systems administration, DevOps, and IT infrastructure support experience. This role will manage end-to-end IT operations — from user PCs and email issues, to client/server deployments, to monitoring our private cloud environment. The candidate must be capable of diagnosing server-level issues (e.g., application pool crashes, connectivity failures, cloud outages), coordinating with hosting providers, and ensuring client backups and installations are never compromised.

In addition, this role will play a key part in supporting our journey towards ISO27001 certification, by maintaining IT policies, monitoring controls, and ensuring audit-ready documentation of security practices.

Key Responsibilities

Client Deployments & Server Management

• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on client servers.
• Diagnose issues related to server accessibility, app pool/IIS errors, or client connectivity.
• Verify and document client backup processes, ensuring restorability.
• Ensure installation and upgrades follow safe change management procedures.

Cloud & Private Server Administration

• Monitor accessibility of client and company cloud servers.
• Identify causes of downtime:
• Application Pool / IIS failure
• Client-side firewall or access issues
• Private cloud/hosting provider outage
• Liaise with cloud hosting providers to resolve incidents quickly.
• Maintain monitoring, uptime logs, and escalation procedures.

DevOps & Infrastructure Tasks

• Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks (monitoring, log checks, backup validation).
• Support development teams during deployments and ensure rollback plans exist.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and deployment records.

Security, Reliability & ISO27001 Support

• Enforce secure access controls for servers, PCs, and cloud systems.
• Manage user provisioning/de-provisioning and maintain access logs.
• Ensure backups and disaster recovery procedures are followed, tested, and documented.
• Apply regular system and server patches; maintain evidence logs for compliance.
• Monitor and log incidents (server downtime, failed access, app crashes) and support ISO incident response processes.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, system/network diagrams, and cloud provider compliance evidence.
• Support the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) by ensuring infrastructure and recovery documentation is up to date.
• Work with management and ISO consultants to align IT practices with ISO27001 ISMS requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in IT administration, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Windows Server, IIS, App Pools, SQL basics.
• Cloud hosting (Azure, AWS, or private cloud environments).
• Backup, disaster recovery, and incident response procedures.
• Troubleshooting network/firewall/client connectivity issues.
• Ability to clearly identify whether issues are application-level, network-level, or hosting-level.
• Experience with IT documentation and compliance support.
• Strong integrity and accountability in handling client backups and production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Exposure to ISO27001 or other IT security frameworks.
• IT/security certifications (MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Security+, Azure/AWS SysOps, ISO27001 Lead Implementer) are a plus.

Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs350,000.00 per month
