Senior Manager - Logistics MAF Retail Head Office KSA

Lead end-to-end logistics operations for Sava in KSA to ensure best-cost, high-availability product flow to stores at pace. The role secures efficient warehousing, transport, delivery scheduling, and supplier inbound coordination to support Sava's rapid expansion and everyday low-price promises. The Senior Manager is accountable for OTIF performance, cost-to-serve optimization, network efficiency, and logistics readiness for new store openings.

Role Profile
  • Build and execute the logistics roadmap aligned with the discount retail model, defining warehouse footprint, cross-dock needs, and transport routing to support expansion while leveraging central supply chain best practices.
  • Lead daily operations across distribution centers and cross-docks, ensuring productivity, accuracy, hygiene, inventory control, and compliance with safety and food-handling standards.
  • Optimize transport and last-mile delivery through freight planning, truck utilization, route optimization, and vendor performance management to guarantee on-time, in-full store deliveries.
  • Oversee inbound flow from local and international suppliers, prioritizing private label and promotional items, and reducing dwell time and bottlenecks.
  • Partner with Operations and Commercial teams to maintain stock availability, resolve supply gaps quickly, and lead root-cause analysis for logistics and supplier delays.
  • Monitor and manage logistics cost KPIs, implement cost-to-serve reduction initiatives, and benchmark performance against internal markets and industry standards.
  • Ensure readiness for new store openings by planning inventory build-up, delivery scheduling, and back-end support for new clusters and formats.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, ensuring compliance with policies, safety standards, and fostering a culture of speed, discipline, and accountability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field; certification in supply chain/logistics (APICS, CSCMP, etc.) is a plus.
  • 10-14 years of logistics/supply chain experience, ideally in discount retail, grocery retail, FMCG distribution, or 3PL, with prior KSA logistics experience preferred.
  • Strong expertise in FMCG/Retail logistics and distribution, with proven experience in operating DCs, cross-docking, and last-mile retail supply chains.
  • Cost-optimization and analytical mindset with ability to manage complex KPIs and drive efficiency initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of KSA supply chain regulations and vendor ecosystem, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
  • Hands on leadership with strong coordination skills across Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain COE, able to thrive in fast paced, high pressure, low cost environments.
