Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce an opening for the Senior Manager - Planning for the Racecourse segment. This key position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to lead the development and execution of planning strategies for our world-class racecourse project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the planning process, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the racecourse development aligns with the overall vision of Qiddiya as a premier destination for leisure and entertainment in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the strategic planning framework for the racecourse project, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s objectives.
  • Engage with internal teams and external consultants to prepare and refine planning documents, reports, and proposals.
  • Conduct thorough site analyses and assessments to inform the planning process and optimize design strategies.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the planning lifecycle.
  • Monitor project development timelines and budgets, providing updates and adjustments as needed to align with strategic goals.
  • Lead a team of planning professionals, promoting best practices and developing team capabilities.
  • Prepare and present planning strategies and recommendations to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulations impacting racecourse development and integrate relevant insights into planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in project planning, specifically in large-scale developments and racecourse or sporting facility design.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading planning initiatives and managing complex projects from concept through to execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in project assessments.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficient in planning software and tools, including project management applications and GIS technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex planning concepts clearly.
  • A deep passion for innovation in planning for racecourses and a commitment to creating exceptional experiences.
