Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence is responsible for leading and enhancing the overall performance of the procurement function within GMG. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, managing supplier performance, overseeing contract management, management of procurement tools and technology and ensuring compliance. The role will support training delivery across the procurement team, stay ahead of new technology trends, and manage procurement reporting and analytics. Additionally, this role is pivotal in helping GMG develop best-in-class procurement capabilities and implementing functional improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function and the service provided to stakeholders.
Accountabilities
Core Responsibilities:
• Lead the Procurement Excellence function, driving continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance supplier performance and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Oversee contract management processes, ensuring compliance and optimal terms and conditions.
• Develop annual sourcing plan and manage savings tracker.
• Manage procurement reporting, analytics, and compliance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Stay abreast of new technology trends and advancements in procurement to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Support the delivery of training programs across the procurement team to enhance skills and capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver functional improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
• Contribute to the development of best-in-class procurement capabilities within GMG.

People Management:
The incumbent is responsible for setting clear objectives and performance targets in collaboration with team members, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals. This role involves actively mentoring, guiding, and providing direction to the team to cultivate skill development, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The incumbent applies structured performance management practices to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and drive the team towards achieving periodic KPIs. Through strategic oversight and regular feedback, the incumbent fosters a results-oriented environment, empowering the team to meet and exceed established benchmarks while supporting both individual and collective growth
Functional/Technical Competencies:
• Expertise in procurement processes, supplier management, and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage procurement data.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement technologies and tools such as Oracle, SAP, Coupa
• Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs to support team development.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in procurement.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement function.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
