Are you energized by a leadership role where you can drive efficiency and shape strategic objectives across the organization? If so, this Senior Operations Manager- Complementary Workforce Staffing Services role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.

The role will be accountable for managing the Managed Service Provider (MSP) Operations for several markets, delivering a range of projects/processes in partnership with the business around the sourcing, onboarding and management of the complementary workforce. The role will also require addressing queries and escalations from across the business that come through the CW Service. Strategically, the role will be required to drive a culture of continuous improvement to both processes and services and ensure ongoing organizational alignment to the CW Operating Model.


To drive effective sourcing, leading procurement initiatives and executing global strategies effectively you will be:

  • Working closely with MSP and agency suppliers and business stakeholders across multiple countries & areas for problem solving and issue resolution

  • Leveraging category and market expertise

  • Operating in a truly global manner

  • Utilizing GSK Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies

  • Engaging and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders and business partners in GSK

  • Understanding the business requirements of key stakeholders and business partners and positioning the Procurement value proposition

  • Identifying and delivering business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation

  • Ensuring financial benefit delivered is recognized by affected stakeholder communities and Finance groups to allow benefit capture and transparent decision making on how benefits are allocated by the business units, in line with the Spend Management Framework

  • Leading, developing and managing the supply base for the in scope spend

  • Building and leading effective strategic relationships with key suppliers

  • Driving sustainable value for GSK from key supplier relationships

  • Holding CW suppliers including Managed Service Provider (MSP) accountable to their agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

  • Engaging with key stakeholders across the organization, influencing to endorse sourcing strategy and budgeting approach

  • Identifying new savings opportunities, deliver quality, cost and innovation

  • Daily support for GSK line managers with respect to GSK CW guidelines, policies and procedures including training and legal topics

  • Heavy focus on risk, legal and compliance oversight across businesses for complementary workforce contracting, management and payment across GSK business areas

  • Influencing GSK senior management decisions when significant complementary workforce, outsourcing and overall talent portfolio decisions are being made

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10-15 yrs of experience in complementary worker end to end source and select processes

  • Experience and working knowledge of Complementary Worker laws and regulations

  • Supplier Relationship Management Experience

  • Experience developing customer relationships with various internal functions at all levels of the organization

  • Experience in working with Virtual Teams

  • Reporting/Analytical Experience

  • Proven ability to represent company interests when dealing with 3rd Parties

  • Hands on approach when solving problems

  • The ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences to successfully deliver projects

  • Ability to work under pressure within a continually changing environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

  • High learning agility and dealing with ambiguity

  • CCWP Certified, Certified Contingent Workforce Professional would be an asset
