We are recruiting for a new leadership role – senior manager, Vendor Management, Global Business Services. This role is a part of the newly created Central Capabilities function for Global Business Services (GBS). This leader ensures Starbucks’ strategic alignment across all third-party managed services partners. This role safeguards value delivery by overseeing contracts, governance forums, and vendor performance, embedding accountability and innovation into the vendor ecosystem.

In This Role, You Will

Model leadership behaviors that are grounded in Starbucks’ Mission and Values. Drive the engagement, development, and performance of all members of the team. Set goals and actively provide partners with coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Lead the Vendor Management Function including governance forums that ensure vendors deliver consistent quality, cost efficiency, and innovation in line with Starbucks strategy. Service as the escalation point for vendor concerns, ensuring swift resolution and accountability across contractual and operational dimensions.

Cross- Functional partnership to maintain strong working relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to balance performance with continuous improvement opportunities

Contract & Risk Management to ensure the MSP delivers measurable outcomes in compliance with the contract

We’d Love To Hear From People With

7+ years in vendor management, procurement, or outsourcing governance, with demonstrated responsibility for multi-vendor relationships

3+ years leading contract negotiations and vendor governance forums

Experience managing BPO or MSP performance across multiple geographies and functions

Strong expertise in contract management, vendor performance oversight, and commercial negotiations

Ability to design and execute governance frameworks, including escalation models, SLA enforcement, and gainshare tracking

Knowledge of managed services, BPO/outsourcing markets, and emerging vendor delivery models such as Build-Operate-Transform-Transfer (BOTT)

Skilled at balancing compliance, risk management, and value delivery

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
