Job Overview:

As a Senior Manager - Wealth Management Compliance at Emirates NBD, your role is to support the Head of Capital markets Compliance on all Compliance related matters ensuring compliance with circulars, Rules, and Regulations provided by the regulator SCA, DFM, ADX, NASDAQ DUBAI, DGCX Markets for ENBD / ENBDS. This includes providing guidance and advice to the relevant Compliance and Business areas on policy related matters in regard to applicable regulations of the UAE Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing new investment products from a Compliance perspective before being submitted to the Wealth Management Investment Committee. Products include: Funds and Structured Products. Private Equity Funds Real Estate Funds Direct Investment opportunities etc.
  • Ensuring that products are approved internally as per the process and obtain the relevant regulatory approvals (SCA) as appropriate
  • Recommend to Dept Head the methods in improving the Compliance process by ensuring effective organizational performance, accountability and communicating risk and control information to appropriate areas of the organization
  • Respond to queries from SCA and respond to them in a timely manner
  • Creating meaningful relationship with internal and external customers through the appropriate management of their expectations and agreed objectives. This includes external customers such as regulators, auditors and service providers as well as internal customers such as Business Unit, Executives, Relationship Managers.
  • Keeping track of regulatory developments and assessing the impact of such changes to the Bank and subsidiaries from an SCA standpoint
  • Review, investigate, report and ensure resolution of compliance violations that arise outside the Adhoc reviews

Skills and Experience:

  • Appreciation of SCA Rules and Regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of the Brokerage /Banking function
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (English and Arabic)
    Good written communication skills (English and Arabic)
  • 8 years’ experience in a Brokerage/Banking of Financial Institution
  • 4-6 years’ experience in Compliance / Regulatory Body / Audit
  • Previous experience in banking/regulatory environment
