Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and maintenance of all electrical infrastructure across our manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring safe, scalable, and energy-efficient systems that support high-performance production environments. The ideal candidate combines deep electrical engineering expertise with a proactive approach to cross-functional collaboration, compliance, and continuous improvement.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Electrical Systems Leadership

    • Design, implement, and maintain electrical distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and backup power systems.
    • Lead infrastructure upgrades to support automation, energy efficiency, and capacity expansion.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure all electrical systems meet local, national, and international codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, IEC).
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safeguards to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee capital projects related to electrical infrastructure from concept through commissioning.
    • Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and vendor selection criteria.
  • Operational Support
    • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues impacting production and facilities.
    • Collaborate with maintenance and controls teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Sustainability & Efficiency
    • Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives, including power factor correction, load balancing, and smart metering.
    • Support ESG reporting and electrical data analytics for sustainability goals.

Physical/Environ. Demands

Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field

  • Certified Electrical Engineer with active licensure (e.g., PE or equivalent regional certification).

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial electrical engineering.

  • Proven expertise in power distribution, control systems, and facility electrical design.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and reliability engineering.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, PLCs, SCADA, and CMMS platforms.

  • PMP certification or advanced project management training is a plus
