Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Description

You will evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; Increase efficiency while reducing cost by: Design & Fabrication prototypes, tooling, & equipment), assembly & materials, conducting time studies, vendor communication, & soliciting observations from the production team.

Requirements

Our team’s success is dependent on your ability to combine engineering expertise with project management execution. You will be relied on to self-manage projects while building relationships with production, maintenance and engineering. You will be presented with manufacturing challenges and it will be up to you to drive solutions through concept, design, prototyping, development and engineering change orders.

Education, Training and Experience:
The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of plastics processing principles and hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing . In addition, solid knowledge of plant infrastructure is required, including water cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, closed-loop systems), raw material conveying (vacuum loaders, silos, blending systems), and general plant utilities such as compressed air, power distribution, and process water management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
