Senior Mechanical CAD engineer

We have an urgent opportunity for Senior Mechanical CAD engineer (AEROSPACE/DEFENCE / AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY) position with one of the leading industry in Space Research and Technology

Skill Set

Software : Solidwork, Creo will be added advantage.

Experience 3 to 4 years experience in Aerospace /defence systems and mechanisms , automotive components or machinery.

Roles & Responsibilities

3D Modelling & Drafting

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and subassemblies using SolidWorks.
• Generate 2D drawings, BOMs, DXFs, and documentation based on engineering standards (GD&T, ISO/ASME).
• Apply design intent, constraints, and parametric modelling principles.

Design Development

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop new components or improve existing ones.
• Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
• Develop prototypes and support design validation.

Product Lifecycle & Documentation

• Manage CAD files, revisions, and design changes
• Maintain design documentation and version control.
• Prepare technical documentation and assembly instructions.

Problem Solving & Engineering Support

• Identify design issues and propose improvements.
• Support manufacturing teams with drawings, models, and feasibility studies.
• Assist in supplier communication for component specifications.
• Coordinate with supplier for manufacturing activities, supplier visit.

• Good understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (machining,)
• Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
