Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Modular Steel Structures

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design a modular steel sheet structure kit that can adapt to user-defined dimensions while fitting accurately into a predefined installation space. The role involves developing parametric, adjustable steel designs suitable for sheet metal fabrication and real-world assembly.

Responsibilities:

• Design adjustable and modular steel sheet structures.
• Create parametric CAD models driven by user-defined dimensions.
• Produce manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Design for laser cutting, bending, welding, and bolted assembly.
• Ensure structural stability, proper tolerances, and ease of installation.
• Support prototyping, fit testing, and design improvements.
• Coordinate with fabrication suppliers as needed.
• Performing the assembly of the experimental product personally.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in mechanical design of steel sheet structures
• Very strong proficiency in parametric CAD using Fusion 360 or Autodesk Inventor.
• Basic structural or FEA analysis experience using Fusion 360.
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and tolerancing
• Experience designing modular or adjustable assemblies
• Ability to take designs from concept to fabrication
• Experience with configurable or kit-based products
• Candidates must be currently residing in Dubai and available to join immediately
