Mechanical Engineer – QA/QC (Tank Construction)

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor QA/QC activities related to tank fabrication, erection, welding, and inspection as per project specifications and standards (API 650 / ASME / IS codes).
- Review and verify material test certificates, welding consumables, and fabrication records.
- Conduct stage-wise inspection of tank construction (fit-up, welding, NDT, hydro test, final inspection).
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation (ITP, WPS, PQR, WQT, NCR, RFI, etc.).
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies (TPI) and client representatives for inspections and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with international codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct internal audits, raise NCRs, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
- Maintain calibration records of measuring instruments and welding machines.
- Monitor welder performance and ensure qualified welders are deployed.
- Support project execution team in resolving quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover of QA/QC dossiers at project completion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–7 years of QA/QC experience in tank fabrication and erection projects.
- Knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, MIG, SAW) and related codes.
- Familiarity with API 650, ASME Section IX, and international standards.
- Certified in CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI / NDT Level II (UT, RT, PT, MT) is an added .

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
