Senior Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Design:
- Coordination for the design, review, and approval of mechanical systems (piping, rotating and static equipment, HVAC, firefighting, etc.) for EPC and maintenance projects.
- Coordination and review engineering deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, P&IDs, material requisitions, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards (ASME, API, ISO, NFPA, etc.), and QCS.
Project Execution & Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.
- Review vendor drawings and technical submissions, providing recommendations and approvals.
- Participate in HAZOP, HSE reviews, and constructability assessments.
- Support procurement by preparing technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.
Construction & Maintenance Support:
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
- Resolve site engineering queries and recommend technical solutions.
- Conduct inspections, performance testing, and ensure equipment/system reliability.
- Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and improvement initiatives.

- Strong technical knowledge various mechanical systems.
- Understanding of HSE procedures in Oil & Gas environments.
- Team player with willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work in challenging site conditions and rotating shifts if required.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in project execution and maintenance practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC and maintenance projects, preferably in Qatar or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (static & rotating equipment, piping, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, HVAC, firefighting).
- Familiarity with EPC project life cycle: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, NFPA, ISO, etc.).
- Experience in using engineering software (AutoCAD).
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Good understanding of HSE practices in Oil & Gas sector.
- Client-facing and vendor coordination experience.
Salary: up to 10K + Car + Fuel + Sim.
