Senior Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Design:

Coordination for the design, review, and approval of mechanical systems (piping, rotating and static equipment, HVAC, firefighting, etc.) for EPC and maintenance projects.

Coordination and review engineering deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, P&IDs, material requisitions, and technical reports.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards (ASME, API, ISO, NFPA, etc.), and QCS.
Project Execution & Coordination:

Supervise and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and subcontractors.

Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.

Review vendor drawings and technical submissions, providing recommendations and approvals.
-
Participate in HAZOP, HSE reviews, and constructability assessments.

Support procurement by preparing technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.
Construction & Maintenance Support:
-
Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
-
Resolve site engineering queries and recommend technical solutions.
-
Conduct inspections, performance testing, and ensure equipment/system reliability.
-
Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC and maintenance projects, preferably in Qatar or GCC.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (static & rotating equipment, piping, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, HVAC, firefighting).

Familiarity with EPC project life cycle: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance.

Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, NFPA, ISO, etc.).

Experience in using engineering software (AutoCAD).

Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
