Danfoss Drives is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer with Proven experience in plastic part design and associated manufacturing processes to join our engineering team in Gråsten—a location rich in Danfoss history and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of mechanical design projects that shape the future of energy-efficient technologies. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle, from concept to market launch and beyond—leaving a lasting impact on both our products and our business

Team Dynamics
You’ll join a focused, high-impact team led by Mark Christiansen, Director of Product Development, collaborating to deliver tailored, integrated solutions. Your contributions will directly influence real-world applications through hands-on engagement with both engineering and customer teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design and develop plastic components and assemblies, including selection of appropriate production techniques.
  • Contribute to die-casting design of larger mechanical parts, ensuring manufacturability and performance.
  • Perform cost and effort estimations for new parts and concepts to support business development and quoting activities.
  • Lead thermal simulations and evaluations to validate mechanical designs under operating conditions.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to support rapid prototyping, product documentation, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Drive innovation through concept development and fast-turnaround projects aimed at new customer acquisition.
What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical Engineer education (Master or Bachelor) or a similar education.
  • Knowledge of die-casting techniques for large mechanical components.
  • Strong understanding of product development workflows and market introduction strategies.
  • Experience with simulation tools for thermal analysis and mechanical validation.
  • Ability to estimate development costs and timelines with accuracy.
  • High level of ownership and adaptability across multiple concurrent projects.
