Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who leads the design, development, testing, and implementation of complex mechanical systems, components, and equipment. They are responsible for managing project lifecycles, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior engineers. This role involves using CAD software for design, creating technical documentation, and overseeing project budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Analysis: Utilize CAD software to create, simulate, and analyze complex mechanical systems, such as machinery, HVAC, or structural components.
• Project Leadership: Manage projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budget management, and ensuring technical requirements are met.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert, performing root-cause analysis on equipment failures and developing improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation and Standards: Develop and review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with, and mentor, junior engineers, technicians, and other departments to achieve project goals.
• Vendor and Site Management: Liaise with suppliers, manage contractors, and oversee onsite installation, commissioning, and validation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience: Typically, 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, project engineering, or a related role.
• Software Proficiency: Strong skills in CAD tools and simulation software.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading projects and mentoring staff.
• Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, OSHA).
