Senior Mechanical Engineer-Design (UPDA A)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and deliver complex projects across HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of engineering consultancy expertise, proven authority in design approvals, and a track record of compliance with Qatar’s regulatory standards. This role demands technical excellence, strong leadership, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications & Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering with additional relevant professional qualifications.
• Minimum 10 years of consultancy experience specializing in mechanical systems design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
• Expertise in mechanical system calculations, design approvals, and compliance with international standards and local authority regulations (QCDD, ASHGHAL, KAHRAMAA).
• Comprehensive understanding of design processes and authority approval procedures.
• MMUP Grade (A) certification is essential.
• Strong computer and technical proficiency with design software: MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, ELITE.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a critical eye for detail.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Local hiring only: candidate must be available in Qatar with NOC.
• Valid Qatari Driving License.
