Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, components, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry regulations
Review engineering drawings and technical documentation to assess the integrity and functionality of mechanical designs
Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to plan inspection schedules and procedures
Identify and document any deficiencies or non-conformance issues during inspections and recommend corrective actions
Prepare detailed inspection reports and provide feedback to stakeholders, including contractors and project personnel
Monitor and ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections and onsite activities
Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to mechanical systems
Provide mentorship and training to junior inspectors and technical staff as needed
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure a holistic approach to project inspections and assessments
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the management team
Requirements
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
4 - 6 years of experience in mechanical inspection or a similar role
Practical Experience
Conducting inspections on HVAC, ventilation, and plumbing systems at various project stages
Reviewing mechanical coordination and layout drawings for site implementation accuracy
Inspecting mechanical fixtures, equipment installations, and system connections
Ensuring mechanical works adhere to relevant standards and project specifications
Preparing detailed mechanical inspection reports with technical observations and resolutions
Technical Requirements
Proficient with inspection tools for mechanical systems
Knowledgeable in ASHRAE, SBC, and SMACNA standards
Experienced in AutoCAD for design review and verification
Ability to diagnose and analyze mechanical system failures and performance issues
