Job Title: Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role Summary:
A seasoned mechanical maintenance professional responsible for leading, planning, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies across critical plant assets. This role demands deep technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting ability, and strategic oversight to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational continuity in high-throughput environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance teams
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for jaw/cone crushers, belt conveyors and feeders, vibrating screens, rotary thermal dryer, dust extraction system, bins/hoppers/chutes/equipment supporting structure
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical failures involving gearboxes, bearings, seals, belt conveyor vulcanizing joint and rotating equipment
- Oversee shutdown planning, execution, and post-mortem analysis
- Review and optimize spare parts inventory, vendor performance,
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory inspections, and audit protocols
- Collaborate with process engineers to improve equipment uptime and throughput
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians in SOP adherence and diagnostic skills
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives
- Liaise with OEMs and contractors for major overhauls and upgrades.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in mechanical systems: crushers, screens, gearboxes, and belt conveyors
- Strong understanding of vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication practices
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals
- Leadership in cross-functional teams and contractor management
- Fluent in technical documentation and SOP development (English preferred; bilingual a plus)
- Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, and site-specific safety norms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven track record of 20+ years in heavy industry, mineral processing
