Senior MEP Design and Estimation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MEP Design and Estimation Engineer to manage the design review, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical systems for high-profile projects. The role involves close collaboration with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with codes, efficient installation, and the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• ·Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate pricing and estimation for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
• Develop cost estimates for MEP systems, including HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV, and Plumbing works.
• Conduct value engineering to propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to clarify technical requirements and pricing details.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations, ensuring competitive and compliant bids.
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure technical accuracy in estimation deliverables.
• Prepare cost breakdowns, comparison sheets, and tender summaries for management approval.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Experience: 10 to 12 years of relevant MEP engineering experience (consultant experience preferred).
• Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Registration: Must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Electrical: LV and MV Panels/Voltage

Understanding of transformers, generators, and UPS systems

Earthing and lightning protection.

Small power (including but not limited to normal lights, emergency lights, external lights, and power sockets).

HVAC: Centralize system (VRF and chillers).

Plumbing: (Water supply, drainage, rainwater, storm water, and natural gas).

Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, medium/low voltage systems, lighting layouts, and ELV systems.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP/DuctSizer, Dialux, and ETAP.

Excellent ability to read, interpret, and critique detailed MEP drawings and specifications.

Strong coordination and communication skills for consultant-client interactions.

Ability to identify technical gaps and propose optimal, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
