Senior MEP Design Engineer

Job Description – MEP Design Engineer (Electrical + Plumbing + Fire Fighting)

Position: Electrical Design Engineer

Industry: Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure

Location: CBD Belapur

Experience: 3–10 years

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design

Prepare electrical load calculations, SLDs, panel schedules, and equipment sizing.

Design layouts for lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, HT/LT systems.

Coordination with DISCOM for load sanction and compliance.

Selection of transformers, DG sets, UPS, cabling, and protective devices.

2. Plumbing & Public Health Engineering (PHE)

Design water supply systems (UGWT/OWS sizing, pump selection, pipe sizing).

Develop layouts for internal/external plumbing, drainage, and rainwater systems.

Design STP/ESR requirements as per project standards.

Ensure compliance with IS codes and NBC standards.

3. Fire Fighting System Design

Design hydrant system, sprinkler system, fire pumps, and fire tank sizing.

Hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing and pump selection.

Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, and local fire authority norms.

Prepare fire NOC documentation and coordinate with authorities.

4. Coordination & Documentation

Work closely with architects, civil teams, and contractors.

Conduct site visits for verification of MEP execution.

Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimations.

Review vendor drawings and submittals.

Participate in client and consultant meetings.

✅ Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of MEP services (Electrical, Plumbing, Fire).

Hands-on expertise with design tools:

AutoCAD

ETAP / Dialux / Relux

Familiarity with:

IS codes

NBC

NFPA standards

Soft Skills:

Good communication and coordination abilities.

Ability to manage multiple consultants and contractors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
