Senior MEP Design Manager

The project

Mace has been appointed to partner on a new portfolio of work focusing on the events industry in KSA. Our client intends to build cutting-edge venues to host world-class events in the culture, entertainment and sports sectors.

You'll be responsible for
  • Proven track record in leading and delivering complex MEP design packages across major projects and programmes, ideally within the hospitality sector.
  • Comprehensive expertise in both construction and consultancy environments, with strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and integration.
  • In-depth understanding of Building Safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts (including FIDIC), professional appointments, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in guiding large, multidisciplinary design teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on design intent, programme objectives, and commercial considerations.
  • Awareness of sustainability and carbon reduction strategies, and how these influence MEP design and delivery in modern projects.
You'll need to have
  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
  • Professional membership with CIBSE, IMechE, or equivalent recognised body.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM processes and digital design tools.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
