Job Summary

Burtville Development is seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead and manage the full supervision and design coordination of MEP systems for residential and mixed-use developments in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and ELV systems from pre-concept through tender stage, ensuring full compliance with local authority requirements and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design development from pre-concept, concept/master planning, detailed design, through to tender documentation
• Ensure full coordination across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and ELV systems
• Review and validate system design including equipment sizing, routing, service zones, and capacities
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority regulations including ADM, Estidama, Civil Defense, and ADDC
• Liaise with relevant authorities and manage submissions, approvals, and resubmissions
• Identify and resolve clashes with architectural, structural, and interior design elements
• Conduct coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Structure, BIM, ID)
• Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent and site conditions
• Prepare and/or review technical specifications, equipment schedules, and BOQs
• Supervise drafting and design teams to ensure high-quality IFC and tender deliverables
• Review BIM models and clash detection reports to ensure coordination efficiency
• Present technical solutions and design intent to stakeholders and consultants
• Support procurement and construction teams with technical clarifications and value engineering

Preferred Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience, preferably within the UAE
• Strong experience in MEP design and coordination for residential and mixed-use projects
• In-depth knowledge of UAE authority requirements (ADM, Estidama, Civil Defense, ADDC)
• Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.)
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills

Pay: Up to AED1.00 per month
