Key Responsibilities
1. Site Coordination & Clash Management
- Clash Resolution: Lead the site coordination process, utilizing 2D drawings and 3D models (BIM/Revit) to proactively identify, anticipate, and resolve spatial and technical clashes between all MEP services, structural elements, and architectural finishes prior to installation.
- Drawing Integration: Oversee the preparation and finalization of integrated services drawings (Composite Drawings) ensuring they reflect all approved changes, site conditions, and adherence to authority requirements.
- Work Front Management: Coordinate the sequence and timing of MEP installation activities across various floors and zones to align with the construction manager's master schedule and minimize disruption to civil works.
2. Quality Assurance (QA/QC) & Execution (Mechanical Focus)
- System Supervision: Provide expert technical supervision for the installation of primary mechanical services, including central HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, ducting), plumbing (drainage, water supply), and fire fighting networks.
- Inspection & Testing: Ensure all mechanical materials and installation methods comply with project specifications, approved Method Statements, and local codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.). Coordinate and witness all relevant system testing (pressure testing, flushing, balancing).
- Material Management: Work with the Logistics and Procurement teams to verify the quality and delivery schedule of mechanical components and equipment.
3. Documentation & Compliance
- Authority Compliance: Ensure all MEP installations adhere strictly to regulatory requirements from local UAE authorities (e.g., Civil Defense, DM/ADDC/DEWA/SEWA).
- RFI/TQ Management: Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and Technical Queries (TQs) related to MEP design discrepancies or site conditions, coordinating responses between the design team and the site execution staff.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate daily site diaries, detailed coordination meeting minutes, and progress reports related to MEP activities and clash resolution status.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in MEP installation and site coordination, with the majority of this tenure spent on large-scale high-rise or complex commercial/residential projects for a main contractor in the UAE/GCC.

- Expert knowledge of complex mechanical systems (HVAC, Chilled Water, Drainage, Pumping, Fire Fighting).
- Proven, advanced ability to read, interpret, and integrate multidisciplinary 2D drawings and 3D BIM models.
- In-depth understanding of international MEP codes and mandatory UAE regulatory standards.
- Software Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and strong working capability in BIM coordination software (Navisworks Manage or equivalent for clash detection).
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, planning, and coordination skills. Proven ability to drive results and manage diverse site and subcontractor teams under pressure.
