Bilstech is looking for a Senior MERN Stack Developer (Remote) to build high-performance, scalable web applications using modern technologies. This role is ideal for a self-driven engineer who can own full-stack architecture, collaborate with global clients, and translate complex business requirements into reliable technical solutions—all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Architecture

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
• Ensure performance, security, scalability, and reliability in production environments

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Join remote client discovery calls and technical planning sessions
• Advise on technical feasibility, architecture, and best practices

API & Backend Systems

• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and microservices
• Integrate front-end applications with complex backend systems

Performance Optimization

• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and SEO
• Improve state management, database performance, and server efficiency

Code Quality & Team Leadership

• Perform code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth in a remote environment

Cross-Functional Teamwork

• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX/UI Designers across time zones
• Convert wireframes and requirements into clean, functional features

DevOps & Deployment

• Manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments
• Ensure smooth, automated releases and system stability

Requirements

Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development
• Strong, hands-on experience with the MERN stack

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Advanced React.js skills (Hooks, Context API, Redux or Zustand)
• Strong Node.js and backend performance optimization knowledge

Databases

• MongoDB expertise (schema design, aggregation pipelines)
• Working knowledge of SQL databases

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker and modern deployment workflows

Communication & Leadership

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Ownership mindset and leadership approach to problem-solving

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
