SENIOR MICROBIOLOGIST

Job Title: Senior Microbiologist – Landscaping Plant
Location: Dubai
Industry: Nursery / Agriculture / Landscaping

We are a well-established landscaping plant nursery and farm operation in Dubai, specializing in large-scale plant production and landscape supply. We are looking for an experienced Senior Microbiologist to lead soil, water, and plant microbiology programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct microbial analysis of soil, compost, water, and growing media
• Identify beneficial and harmful microorganisms affecting plant health
• Support plant disease diagnosis and biological control strategies
• Develop soil biological improvement and biofertilizer programs
• Establish and manage microbiological testing procedures
• Culture, identify, and analyze microorganisms
• Prepare reports and recommendations for nursery production

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Microbiology, Agricultural Microbiology, or Biotechnology (microbiology focus)
• 3–5 years’ experience in agricultural or environmental microbiology
• Experience in nursery, greenhouse, or farm operations preferred
• Strong knowledge of soil microbiology, composting, and biocontrol agents
• GCC or arid-region agriculture experience is an advantage

• Biofertilizers & biological disease control
• Lab equipment handling and sterile techniques

Work Environment

• Combination of laboratory, nursery, and farm fieldwork
• Indoor and outdoor work required

Additional

• UAE driving license preferred
• Willing to travel between sites
• Physically fit for sampling and inspections
