Senior Mold Maintenance engineer ISBM will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, maintenance, and performance of all injection and blow moulding tools. The role involves leading a team in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure high equipment uptime, quality output, and production efficiency.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for injection and blow moulds.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mould breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production performance.
- Supervise and guide the tool room team in day-to-day operations, repairs, and tool modifications.
- Conduct mould performance evaluations and implement improvements to enhance quality and cycle time.
- Manage mould trials, validation, and documentation for new and repaired tools.
- Ensure inventory control for mould spares, components, and maintenance consumables.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve tooling issues and improve product consistency.
- Implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions for recurring mould problems.
- Maintain records for all maintenance activities, tool history, and calibration logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO standards during maintenance and handling operations.
- Support new mould development projects, including vendor coordination and technical evaluation.
- Strong technical knowledge of injection and blow moulding tools.
- Hands-on experience with mould repair, polishing, assembly/disassembly, and alignment.
- Proficiency in tool room equipment – CNC, EDM, milling, and grinding machines.
- Understanding of mould cooling, ejection systems, and hot runner systems.
- Excellent team leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exposure to TPM / Kaizen / 5S / Lean manufacturing practices preferred.
