Senior Network Security engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, network monitoring, security incident response, and cloud security technologies. The role involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's network infrastructure while proactively identifying and mitigating security risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures.
• Manage and administer firewalls, VPNs, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), IDS/IPS, and network access control solutions.
• Monitor network security events and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing coordination.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Implement and manage network segmentation, Zero Trust, and secure remote access solutions.
• Analyze security logs using SIEM platforms and investigate potential threats.
• Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to ensure security best practices.
• Perform root cause analysis and remediation for security incidents.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, NIST, and CIS Controls.
• Create and maintain network security documentation and diagrams.
• Mentor junior security and network engineers.

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills

• Strong experience with enterprise firewalls such as:
• Palo Alto Networks
• Fortinet
• Cisco
• Check Point Software Technologies
• Expertise in IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, DNS Security, and Network Access Control.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with cloud security in:
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Microsoft (Azure)
• Google (GCP)
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus and Qualys.
• Experience with security frameworks including NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
