Senior Network Security/Firewall Engineer

Overview:
We have an immediate need for a hands-on Network Security / Firewall Engineer responsible for securing and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-impact, operational environment and has deep experience managing firewall technologies in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize enterprise firewall environments (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• Perform firewall rule cleanup, optimization, and segmentation improvements
• Design and support secure VPN and remote access solutions
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot security and connectivity issues
• Implement firewall solutions to address vulnerabilities and improve security posture
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on enterprise initiatives

Required Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in network security or firewall engineering
• Hands-on experience with:
• Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls
• Firewall rule management and optimization
• Network segmentation and VPN technologies
• Strong networking fundamentals (routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS)
• Experience supporting enterprise-level environments

Preferred Experience:

• Healthcare or regulated environment experience
• Exposure to tools such as Rapid7, CyberArk, Okta, SentinelOne, etc.

Important:

• This is not a remote role — candidates must be able to commute onsite regularly
• Bachelor’s degree required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $106,000.00 - $127,000.00 per year
