Position: Senior Engineer - Quality (NPD, QMS)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead new product development (NPD) quality initiatives and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will drive quality excellence across the product development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development (NPD)

● Lead quality planning and APQP activities for new product launches

● Develop and implement quality control plans for new products

● Conduct design reviews and provide quality input during development phases

● Establish quality metrics and acceptance criteria for new products

● Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met

Quality Management System (QMS)

● Maintain and improve existing QMS processes and documentation

● Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards

● Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives

● Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement

● Prepare for and support external audits

General Quality Functions

● Implement and maintain quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA)

● Investigate quality issues and implement root cause corrective actions

● Train and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians

● Interface with customers and suppliers on quality matters

● Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements

Required Qualifications Education & Experience

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)

● 5-8 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing environment

● Experience with new product development and launch activities

Mandatory Certifications

● Internal Auditor Training - Certified completion required for:

○ ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor

○ IATF 16949 Internal Auditor

● Core Tool Training - Demonstrated proficiency in quality core tools:

○ APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

○ PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

○ SPC (Statistical Process Control)

○ MSA (Measurement System Analysis)

○ FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

Technical Skills

● Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards

● Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality tools

● Experience with quality software and databases

● Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred

● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Soft Skills

● Excellent communication and presentation skills

● Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset

● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

● BE / BTech. Mech Engineer

● 4-8 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field department of any hot Press Forging

● In depth knowledge of problem-solving techniques and breakdown root cause analysis.

● Knowledge of MS – Office – Excel & Word.

● Team player and people management skills

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
